ML Platform Engineer | $85/hr Remote

Role Overview

Hourly contract ML Platform Engineer role focused on completing, evaluating, and debugging complex machine learning engineering tasks using coding agents.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Complete and evaluate complex ML engineering tasks using coding agents
• Review model-generated implementations across:
  • model training
  • inference systems
  • MLOps
  • LLM applications
• Identify bugs, edge cases, performance issues, and system failure modes
• Compare outputs from multiple models and assess strengths/weaknesses
• Apply engineering judgment to real-world ML engineering scenarios

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in machine learning engineering
• Strong experience building production ML systems, including at least some of:
  • model deployment infrastructure
  • LLM applications
  • intelligent software products
• Strong experience using coding agents and developer productivity tools
• Strong ability to evaluate model-generated implementations and understand technical tradeoffs
• Strong experience deploying ML systems to production

Contract / Commitment

• Hourly contract
• Remote
• Sprint-based project with 12–24 hour stretches depending on project requirements

Compensation

• $85/hour (typical tasks: ~$400 each, taking ~2–3 hours after ramp-up)
