ML Engineer | $85/hr Remote

Role Overview

Hourly ML Engineer role working remotely on sprint-based projects. You’ll use coding agents to complete and evaluate complex machine learning engineering tasks across model training, inference, MLOps, and LLM application development.

Responsibilities

• Complete and evaluate complex machine learning engineering tasks using coding agents
• Review model-generated implementations across:
  • Model training
  • Inference systems
  • MLOps
  • LLM applications
• Identify and debug:
  • Bugs and edge cases
  • Performance issues
  • System failure modes
• Compare outputs from multiple models and assess strengths/weaknesses
• Apply engineering judgment to real-world ML engineering scenarios

Requirements

• Strong machine learning engineering experience
• Strong experience building production ML systems, including one or more of:
  • Model deployment infrastructure
  • LLM applications
  • Intelligent software products
• Strong experience using coding agents and developer productivity tools
• Strong ability to evaluate model-generated ML implementations and technical tradeoffs
• Strong experience deploying ML systems to production environments

Contract Details

• Hourly contract, remote
• Sprint-based commitment in 12–24 hour stretches
• Rate: $85/hour
• Typical tasks: ~$400 for work taking ~2–3 hours after ramp-up
