Middle DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

Middle DevOps Engineer for long-term collaboration with a Ukrainian IT outsourcing client. You will work on infrastructure support, DevOps tasks, and process automation across cloud and on-prem environments, alongside a strong technical team (juniors and seniors).

Responsibilities

• Automate infrastructure setup and deployments for AWS/Azure/GCP or on-prem environments
• Maintain configurations and troubleshoot infrastructure issues
• Set up and support CI/CD processes
• Work with monitoring and logging systems
• Ensure information security and disaster recovery
• Implement updates and apply patches
• Follow internal security standards and compliance requirements

Requirements

• 3+ years administering Linux/UNIX and Windows
• Solid understanding of web technologies
• 2+ years as DevOps or Infrastructure Engineer
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience with Ansible / Puppet / SaltStack / Chef
• Hands-on work with AWS or Azure (manual and via Terraform / CloudFormation / ARM)
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodeBuild/CodeDeploy/CodePipeline (and similar)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• DB administration: MySQL / PostgreSQL / MSSQL
• Scripting: Bash / Python / PowerShell
• Git and Git workflows
• Understanding of system security principles
• English level B1–B2 (spoken)

Nice to Have

• Deeper Linux/Windows knowledge
• Strong Python experience
• Knowledge of Artifactory or other artifact managers
• Maven, MSBuild, Webpack
• Security tools: SonarQube, Anchore, or similar
• Experience releasing microservices
• Ability to quickly find and resolve issues across different environments
