Mid/Senior DevOps Engineer (Egypt)

Role Overview

Mid/Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer (GCP-focused) for Intelmatix’s Platform Engineering team. You will architect, automate, and support infrastructure powering AI-driven platforms, including deployment workflows for complex applications and AI/ML models.

Key Responsibilities

• GCP Infrastructure Management: Architect, maintain, and optimize reliable, scalable, cost-efficient infrastructure on Google Cloud.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provision and standardize environments across the lifecycle using Terraform.
• CI/CD Orchestration: Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for application, data, and model deployment workflows using GitHub Actions.
• AI/ML Collaboration: Partner with Data Science teams to deploy and monitor ML models and analytical services.
• Security & Networking: Apply security best practices including IAM, VPC Service Controls, and Zero Trust concepts.
• Observability: Implement and operate monitoring/alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
• Hybrid/Multi-Cloud Strategy: Support cross-cloud integrations and leverage AWS/Azure knowledge where needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering experience.
• Must-have GCP expertise, including hands-on experience with services such as GCE, GKE, GCS, Cloud SQL, IAM, and VPC.
• Containerization: Strong Docker skills and orchestration via GKE (or comparable services).
• IaC: Proven Terraform experience.
• CI/CD: Experience with GitHub Actions (or similar).
• Scripting: Proficiency in Python and Bash.
• Linux: Solid Linux administration and performance tuning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer / Professional Cloud Architect, or equivalent).
• Multi-cloud familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, EKS) and/or Azure (AKS, App Service).
• Data/MLOps tooling familiarity: BigQuery, Vertex AI, Dataflow, and/or MLflow, Airflow.
• Edge/Zero Trust exposure (e.g., Zero Trust Network concepts and Cloudflare).
• Basic PostgreSQL administration.
• Comfort working in fast-paced, agile, deep-tech startup environments.
