Role Overview
Mid-Level UI/UX / Product Designer at WillowTree (via Freesistant), joining a remote-first team focused on collaborative product design and inclusive, accessible experiences.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate daily with a multidisciplinary team of Software Engineers, Researchers, Strategists, and Project Managers
- Co-lead ideation sessions, workshops, demos, and presentations with clients (on-site)
- Create inclusive, accessible designs for all users
- Maintain design quality and ensure designs translate accurately into code
- Produce design artifacts: sketches, wireframes, information architecture (IA), motion design
- Run usability tests
- Design pixel-perfect, responsive UI; use common interface patterns to improve UX
- Ensure content strategy and design are aligned
- Provide and receive design critique to continuously refine work
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience designing digital products
- Portfolio demonstrating strong visual design and clear user experience decisions
- Experience shipping and launching multiple products
- Experience working in agile environments (e.g., two-week sprints)
- Ability to present and communicate design decisions effectively to clients and teams
- Up-to-date proficiency with design tools such as Figma and Sketch
