About the role

Role Overview

You will support backend design and development for impactful government programs, providing technical and analytical expertise across system architecture, data modeling, and integrations.

Responsibilities

Provide subject matter expertise for task-related work
Support process improvement and help define requirements through analysis
Perform analysis, planning, and develop functional models and architectures
Execute backend design and development, including:
- RESTful API development
- Database management
- Backend architecture
Develop and optimize data models to enable new system capabilities and integrations

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field
7+ years of software development experience using object-oriented and scripted languages
Experience applying DevSecOps, microservices, and container tool suites
3+ years with bug tracking and testing tools (Jira; testing web-based applications)
Demonstrated experience with:
- Relational databases
- RESTful API development
- System integrations
3+ years with AWS Infrastructure, Kubernetes, and RedHat Linux
Practical experience developing in cloud environments
Experience integrating data across unclassified to classified deployments
