MERN Stack Developer

Role Overview

Concorde is seeking a MERN Stack Developer to build and maintain web applications and APIs using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js). The role supports both front-end and back-end development to deliver seamless user experiences aligned with client business needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end and back-end components and APIs using the MERN stack
• Design and maintain MongoDB databases
• Write server-side code with Node.js and Express.js
• Build user interfaces with React.js
• Write, run tests, and debug to ensure smooth application operation
• Collaborate with product owners, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Participate in project planning, design discussions, and scheduling
• Create and maintain documentation, including user stories and technical documentation
• Perform functional testing and implement logging

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience implementing with TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js
• Experience with RESTful APIs (creating, securing, and consuming)
• Docker experience (configuration and working with Docker images)
• Git familiarity (e.g., GitHub)
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex technical issues
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Experience working in Agile environments with knowledge of Scrum
• Experience with Jira or similar Agile project management tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Visual Studio Code and Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)
• DevOps experience such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
