Role overview
Join Anchorage Digital as a Technical Program Manager to drive high-leverage, multi-quarter initiatives across engineering. You’ll own end-to-end programs, establish processes that improve effectiveness, and maintain a holistic view of engineering and company goals.
Key missions
- Identify and own high-leverage problems for the engineering organization.
- Deliver multi-quarter initiatives spanning teams and functions.
- Evaluate technical architectures and designs across teams, surfacing risks and trade-offs to ensure solid technical foundations.
- Lead multi-team, multi-quarter programs with area-wide/org-wide impact by:
- defining roadmaps
- aligning stakeholders on technical direction
- coordinating delivery milestones.
Responsibilities / expectations
- Facilitate tough decisions (reprioritization, deciding when to stop projects, influencing technical approaches when needed).
- Operate in ambiguity by defining both the problem and the path forward.
- Introduce org-wide processes/changes, build a business case, and drive adoption.
- Engage credibly with senior engineers on implementation details.
- Proactively find high-impact opportunities and drive execution without waiting for direction.
- Mentor/coaching TPMs or engineers and share knowledge via talks, documentation, or posts.
Requirements
- 5+ years in technical program management, with progression to leading large, ambiguous initiatives across multiple teams and quarters.
- Experience introducing org-wide processes/changes and driving adoption.
- Strong software engineering foundation (architecture and system design understanding).
- Experience in fintech/financial services or highly regulated environments with compliance and security requirements.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming to prototype or build tooling, including one or more of: Python, Go, JavaScript.
Nice-to-haves
- Track record of mentoring/coaching TPMs or engineers.
- Ability to spread knowledge through talks, blogs, or documentation.
