About the role

Role Overview

You will join Anchorage Digital as a Member of Technical Staff (Atlas), leading system architecture, technical direction, and technical skill development for a team working on the Atlas business line. You’ll partner closely with Engineering, Product, and engineering leadership to plan, build, release, and maintain high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, build, release, and maintain software for the Atlas business
Drive system architecture and influence the architecture/product roadmap
Collaborate cross-functionally across teams and mentor/guide multiple engineers
Build secure, resilient infrastructure from the ground up
Perform code reviews across the entire stack
Foster a deterministic automated testing culture
Provide on-call support for production systems

Requirements

8+ years of professional experience building backend services
Designed, delivered, and maintained customer-facing APIs
Experience with cloud-native microservices (design/build/deploy)
Strong computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, operating systems)
Experience with system security (authentication, authorization, identity, API keys)
Background in finance or cryptocurrency

Nice-to-Haves / Additional Skills

Interest in end-user experience and delivering business value over “cool tech”
Strong automated testing mindset
Front-end experience, especially TypeScript/React
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with C++ or Go
