About the role
Role overview
You will serve as the Marketing Community (Events) Manager at AtoB, acting as the bridge between customers and the products the company builds. You will own the strategy and execution of AtoB’s community across multiple channels, including programs, events, and community health measurement.
Key missions
- Define and manage the community strategy for AtoB’s key audiences (fleet managers, drivers, and logistics professionals).
- Create and run community programs, such as:
- Educational content series
- Peer-to-peer forums
- Client advisory councils
- Recognition programs
- Design and execute in-person and virtual events (e.g., conferences, dinners, roundtables, workshops) that connect customers to AtoB.
- Track and report community health metrics.
Responsibilities
- Own community program strategy and end-to-end execution (content, programming, logistics, follow-up).
- Produce and manage content across multiple formats (written, video, social).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, sales, and customer success.
- Build alignment across stakeholders without formal authority.
- Manage event/program budgets and vendor relationships.
Requirements
- 4–6 years experience in community management, customer marketing, or a similar customer-facing role (B2B preferred).
- Proven experience planning and executing events (virtual and in-person), including logistics, programming, and post-event follow-up.
- Ability to build community programs from zero to one (especially in fast-growth or scrappy environments).
- Strong customer empathy and curiosity; ability to translate insights into action.
- Strong content creation skills across formats, including:
- Writing compelling LinkedIn posts
- Moderating panels
- Drafting customer case studies
- Familiarity with community platforms and social media management tools.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in logistics, trucking, transportation, or adjacent industries (or strong interest to learn).
- Background in B2B SaaS or fintech, especially in community/customer marketing roles.
- Experience with community platforms such as Slack, Discord, Circle, Higher Logic.
