Marketing & Design Lead (Independent Contractor)
Remote, flexible engagement.
Role overview
Own the end-to-end creation and execution of marketing and design work—taking initiatives from concept through production. The role is broad and requires comfort moving between strategy and hands-on execution.
Responsibilities
- Website ownership end-to-end (Squarespace preferred): design and build new pages, refresh existing pages, and keep content current.
- Run print and Google Ads campaigns end to end.
- Maintain and grow social media accounts.
- Plan strategy for conferences and publisher fairs (booth presence, collateral, and follow-up).
- Create sales and customer-facing materials: presentations, collateral, and educator communications.
- Identify branding and positioning opportunities to strengthen the MidSchoolMath brand.
- Ensure consistent design across touchpoints: digital, print, events, and campaign assets.
Requirements
- Strong graphic design skills with a portfolio.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent, plus familiarity with digital marketing platforms.
- Ability to move between strategy and hands-on production.
- Self-direction with real ownership, alongside support/collaboration with the production team.
Nice to have
- Experience in K–12 education, edtech, or curriculum development.
