About the role
Role Overview
Manual QA Engineer (Web, CRM) working with a partner company to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of digital products across web applications and CRM-related channels. The role includes hands-on manual testing, cross-functional collaboration with product managers and developers, and input into release planning and quality process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements to create test cases and testing scenarios for new features and enhancements
- Perform manual testing for web applications, including:
- Functional, regression, smoke
- Usability and UI/UX testing
- Test and validate internal CRM systems for stability, accuracy, and correct functionality
- Verify email campaigns and push notifications across platforms and environments
- Conduct API testing (positive and negative scenarios) using tools like Postman and Swagger
- Use browser developer tools to investigate issues (logs, network activity, console errors)
- Assess testing risks and contribute to sprint planning with quality insights
- Create detailed bug reports with reproduction steps, severity, and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure feature quality and successful releases
- Support continuous improvement of testing methodologies and QA documentation/processes
Requirements
- 2+ years of manual QA experience focused on web applications
- Experience testing CRM systems, customer-facing platforms, email campaigns, and notification workflows
- Strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC, testing methodologies, and test design techniques
- Hands-on API testing experience with Postman, Swagger, or similar tools
- Experience creating/managing test cases, test plans, and defect reports (e.g., Jira or test management tools)
- Familiarity with databases and data validation (e.g., MongoDB, BigQuery, DataGrip, or similar)
- Basic understanding of version control (Git workflows and code review)
- Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and experience working with deployment pipelines
- Ability to analyze logs and debug issues
- Strong attention to detail, analytical/problem-solving skills, and cross-functional communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Test automation tools/frameworks and ability to automate repetitive QA tasks
- Scripting/programming experience for testing/QA
- Experience generating test data and writing database queries
- Exposure to improving QA strategy and process optimization
