Managing Director, Consulting & Investment Banking

Role overview

Managing Director, Consulting & Investment Banking at DeVoe & Company. This is a remote role, preferably based in the San Francisco Bay Area / West Coast, but the right candidate may be located anywhere in the U.S. You will lead client engagements across business consulting, mergers & acquisitions, and valuations, with a strong emphasis on the RIA (registered investment advisor) industry.

Responsibilities

• Represent DeVoe & Company as a seasoned expert
• Lead projects end-to-end from planning through delivery
• Deliver client solutions using rigorous analytics and structured thinking
• Build and maintain strong client relationships across multiple engagements
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to create client recommendations
• Conduct complex modeling, including valuations and discounted cash flows (DCF)
• Create effective client presentations using the Minto Pyramid Principle
• Support outreach campaigns to targeted prospects
• Collaborate with teammates, and train/mentor other DeVoe personnel
• Additional potential duties:
  • Source new clients / prospecting
  • Present at events and webinars

  • Use a proven valuation process to help clients understand and improve firm value

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; MBA ideally
• 10+ years relevant experience with a top management consulting firm, investment banking firm, or highly relevant RIA industry role
• Demonstrated ability to create client solutions and recommendations grounded in both quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Structured analytical mindset and ability to turn data into compelling narratives
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to see the big picture
• Collaborative team player with strong work ethic
• Strong ethics and values
