About the role
Role Overview
The Manager, Patient Education & Events leads the development and delivery of Cure HHT’s educational programming and community event experiences. The role designs and executes virtual and in-person initiatives—such as webinars, patient conferences, and learning resources—to turn medical information into accessible, actionable knowledge for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
Educational Strategy & Program Development
- Create and execute an annual education plan aligned with Cure HHT’s mission (Find, Treat, and Cure).
- Design and produce webinars, virtual workshops, and online educational series for patients, caregivers, and providers.
- Partner with medical experts, the Scientific Advisory Board, and internal teams to ensure educational content is accurate, clear, and accessible.
- Work with Marketing & Communications to translate complex medical information into easy-to-understand materials.
- Measure education impact using participation metrics, feedback surveys, and impact assessments.
- Revamp and reimagine regional patient conferences with new formats to increase U.S. community participation.
Event Management & Experience Design
- Plan, coordinate, and execute National and Regional Patient and Physician Conferences with strong participant experience.
- Organize regional patient events that expand access to education and strengthen local community ties.
- Manage event logistics, budgets, vendors, speakers, and volunteers, coordinating across departments.
- Partner with the Senior Manager, Community Engagement to feature community voices, patient stories, and ambassador participation.
- Coordinate with Philanthropy to integrate recognition and sponsor visibility (without managing direct solicitations).
Content & Resource Development
- Oversee creation and updates of educational resources such as brochures, toolkits, guides, and digital learning materials.
- Maintain an engaging, accurate education section of the Cure HHT website with Marketing & Communications.
- Audit and update resources with timely information for diverse communities.
- Identify new topics, tools, and delivery formats to improve accessibility and engagement.
- Ensure materials align with brand voice, diversity & inclusion commitments, and mission.
Collaboration & Partnerships
- Align educational content with community needs and emerging trends alongside the Senior Manager, Community Engagement.
- Coordinate research roundtables and provider workshops with the Director of Research and clinical experts.
- Serve as a liaison for Cure HHT’s participation in external conferences (e.g., NORD, ASH, Rare Disease Week) to support brand visibility.
