Role overview
Samsara is seeking a people manager for its Operations Program Manager (OPM) team with strong New Product Introduction (NPI) experience in hardware manufacturing. You will lead a global operations program management team to ensure successful operational launch of hardware products—from development through mass production and sustained volume.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a global Operations Program Management team based in North America and Asia.
- Own end-to-end NPI operational execution for hardware products from concept through mass production and sustained volume.
- Act as the primary operations liaison, aligning and communicating across Engineering, Product, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.
- Create program plans and manage schedules and budgets while proactively mitigating risks to deliver on time and on cost.
- Define and execute manufacturing strategies, partnering with internal teams and external partners for factory readiness, capacity, and process development.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and ensure robust quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
- Champion and role-model Samsara cultural principles as the company scales globally.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing), Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Operations Program Management / NPI (hardware manufacturing).
- Master’s degree (MBA or MS) is a plus.

- Ability to lead complex, cross-functional manufacturing and launch programs.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
