Manager of Solutions Architecture (East)

Role Overview

Manager of Solutions Architecture (East) – Full Remote at GitLab. Lead a distributed team of Solutions Architects who act as trusted technical advisors to prospects and customers, ensuring high-quality technical evaluations and demos.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a distributed team of Solutions Architects, providing guidance to support successful adoption of GitLab’s Enterprise Edition.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers, helping validate GitLab solutions and support technical evaluations.
• Collaborate with regional sales managers and cross-functional teams to align technical and commercial strategies.

Requirements

• Strong technical presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including modern software development and/or operations practices.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and how they impact customer outcomes.
• Experience managing or leading technical pre-sales or IT professionals in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to mentor and develop team members, including giving and receiving constructive feedback.
• Willingness to travel as needed and openness to learning GitLab and related tools.
• Ability to collaborate with other managers and cross-functional partners to plan and execute sales and go-to-market strategies.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, technologies, and common customer adoption patterns.
