About the role
Role Overview
Manager of Sales Compensation (hands-on)
You will own the end-to-end administration, governance, and payout execution of all variable sales compensation programs across GTM roles. You’ll partner closely with Sales Operations, Finance, HR, and Accounting to ensure compliance and data integrity, while building scalable operational controls and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end administration of variable sales compensation programs, including governance and payout execution
- Partner cross-functionally to maintain auditability, compliance, and data integrity across payout cycles
- Manage sales compensation systems and data workflows
- Build and refine operational controls, reporting dashboards, and governance mechanisms to improve payout transparency and scalability
- Support GTM leadership with commission plan performance analysis and insights
Requirements
- Advanced analytical and data modeling skills using Google Sheets or Excel for precise commission calculations
- Strong ability to communicate complex payout and governance structures to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders
- Practical experience in sales compensation administration / sales operations / FP&A / financial data analysis in high-growth environments
- Experience administering sales compensation platforms such as SPIFF, CaptivateIQ, or Varicent, plus systems including Salesforce, NetSuite, Sigma, or Coupa
