Role Overview

Join GitLab as Manager of Public Sector Solutions Architects. You will lead a team of Solutions Architects supporting public sector customers, guiding technical pre-sales and aligning GitLab’s DevSecOps platform to each customer’s mission and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Solutions Architects serving public sector customers.
• Guide technical pre-sales solution architecture and customer engagement.
• Connect GitLab’s DevSecOps platform to customer requirements in regulated/mission-driven environments.
• Improve team practices, execution strategies, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Coach and mentor Solutions Architects to deliver consistent technical leadership across strategic engagements.
• Support people management including hiring, feedback, retention, and performance.
• Track outcomes using key performance indicators (KPIs) and manage execution accountability.

Requirements

• Ability to mentor and give/receive constructive feedback clearly and respectfully.
• Experience working with other managers and cross-functional partners to develop and execute shared strategies.
• Experience leading teams with accountability for execution, coaching, and performance.
• Familiarity with cloud computing technologies and practices for secure, scalable adoption.
• Knowledge of modern software development/operations practices across the delivery lifecycle.
• Experience supporting public sector customers and understanding regulated or mission-driven environments.
• Experience in technical pre-sales or a related IT role supporting customer-facing solution design.
