Role Overview
As Manager, Engineering (Applications) at SimSpace, you will lead and grow a full-stack application team delivering end-to-end product features used by customers every day. This is a people-leadership role with deep technical grounding, where you guide architecture, unblock hard problems, and make smart trade-offs.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a full-stack team: hiring, onboarding, 1:1s, performance management, and career growth.
- Coach and mentor engineers, investing in their development and creating conditions for them to do great work.
- Set team direction and priorities by translating product strategy into clear goals and predictable execution.
- Drive a culture of collaboration, ownership, craft, and continuous improvement.
- Own delivery end-to-end across React frontend, Kotlin services, and APIs, balancing scope, quality, and timelines.
- Stay close to technical decisions to guide architecture, review work credibly, and unblock complex problems.
- Steward architecture and manage technical debt to balance long-term health with delivery needs.
