About the role
Role Overview
As Manager, Workday Core HR (Employee Services & Operations) at Zillow, you will own Workday Core HR process health and continuous improvement. You’ll help employees get work done in Workday self-service by closing process gaps and improving self-service outcomes over time.
Responsibilities
- Own Workday Core HR: keep the platform/processes healthy and continuously improve them.
- Deliver on Core HR roadmap with HR Product, including major initiatives such as:
- Job architecture
- Offer process
- Perform discovery, shape requirements, and track whether changes landed.
- Create a system for ongoing improvements: find, prioritize, and track smaller process fixes outside the formal roadmap.
- Lead analysts: map current Workday processes, identify broken/duplicated steps, and drive remediation.
- Use data to prioritize and validate impact: determine where to focus and whether changes are working.
- Enable employee self-service: reduce reliance on the Employee Service Center (ESC).
- Collaborate across stakeholders including People Org COEs, ESC, IT, Finance, and Payroll to resolve overlapping requirements.
- Translate findings for leadership: provide recommendations leaders can act on.
- Lead and develop your team; step in and do the work when needed.
Requirements
- Managed a team in HR operations or process improvement.
- Strong familiarity with Workday enough to understand how it works and where complexity occurs (system admin experience not required).
- Ability to map current-state processes, identify issues, and design improved processes.
- Competence using data to make decisions and measure whether changes are effective.
- Ability to advance cross-team work without direct authority.
- Comfort working through complex HR/process/system topics with leadership.
