Role Overview

Manager, Business Development responsible for driving market growth and expanding strategic partnerships across North America in a healthcare-focused environment. The role combines business development leadership, remote team management, and cross-functional program execution with sales and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to identify new market opportunities and accelerate growth
  • Lead market development initiatives to increase customer engagement, market penetration, and long-term business value
  • Partner with sales and marketing to create targeted education and engagement programs for healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with strategic partners to align market development efforts and maximize commercial impact
  • Identify best practices and implement programs to improve partner engagement and business performance
  • Manage, coach, and develop a remote team (goals, feedback, accountability frameworks, career growth)
  • Build trusted relationships with customers, healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders
  • Support funnel management and help teams identify and advance growth opportunities
  • Define and monitor KPIs, forecasts, and performance objectives to improve operational effectiveness
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring alignment with company policies and business goals

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, sales leadership, healthcare, or medical device environments
  • 3+ years leading and developing teams, including remote teams
  • Proven ability to create and execute growth strategies with measurable results
  • Strong forecasting and planning capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree or advanced education in business, audiology, healthcare, or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership (coaching, mentoring, performance management, team development)
  • Strong change management and process improvement experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and manage partnerships across complex organizations
  • Customer-focused, empathetic leadership and strong collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce CRM
  • Fluent English communication
