About the role
Role Overview
You will join the Engineering Stores team as a Maintenance Planner. The role focuses on planning, preparing, and scheduling maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability, maximize plant availability, and reduce unplanned downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and schedule maintenance work orders to ensure they are completed safely, on time, and in full (OTIF).
- Review and prioritize maintenance requests using risk, equipment criticality, and reliability considerations.
- Prepare work orders by defining scope, tasks, required resources, materials, and tools.
- Schedule maintenance activities based on equipment criticality, planned downtime windows, and availability of parts/services.
- Coordinate with Spare Parts Coordinator, Storekeeper, Procurement, and Maintenance Execution to ensure materials/tools are available.
- Manage maintenance task lists and ensure materials are requested in line with inventory and supply processes.
- Ensure accurate, timely registration and maintenance information management in the CMMS.
- Support preventive maintenance planning and contribute to maintenance budgets.
- Support TPM and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen maintenance effectiveness and reliability.
- Partner with maintenance stakeholders to improve planning efficiency and support reliable execution.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in maintenance planning, operations, supply chain, or a reliability-focused role.
- Experience with maintenance planning, preparation, and scheduling.
- Understanding of supply and inventory management processes.
- Experience working with a CMMS and/or maintenance planning/scheduling software.
- Strong planning and organizational skills; ability to plan ahead and manage multiple priorities.
- Good reporting/data handling and basic computer skills.
- Understanding of workflow management and maintenance work prioritization.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Maintenance, Production, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
Nice to Have
- Experience with TPM, reliability, or other continuous improvement practices (asset).
