About the role

Role Overview

Join YO IT Consulting as an AI/ML Engineer (Remote, Full-Time) supporting mission-critical government initiatives and building proprietary AI infrastructure. You will leverage LLMs, RAG, and multi-agent orchestration to deliver secure, scalable machine learning systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize production AI/ML solutions, focusing on LLMs, RAG, and prompt engineering.
  • Develop and orchestrate multi-agent systems using frameworks such as LangGraph and LangChain.
  • Integrate and deploy solutions in secure government cloud environments, including:
    • AWS GovCloud, Google GovCloud
    • Azure IL5+
    • Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, including ETL, metadata catalogs, and ontologies to support training and inference data quality.
  • Create REST APIs and SDK integrations for data/model interoperability.
  • Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams; follow secure coding and DevOps practices (including CI/CD).
  • Document technical decisions and clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills / Qualifications

  • Python proficiency for AI/ML development, including REST API and SDK integration experience.
  • Hands-on production experience with LLMs, RAG, and prompt engineering.
  • Experience with multi-agent orchestration and tool use (notably LangGraph / LangChain).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud AI services in regulated environments (AWS GovCloud, Google GovCloud, Azure IL5+, Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock).
  • Experience building/maintaining data pipelines, ETL, ontologies, and metadata catalogs.
  • Strong grasp of secure coding and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with agentic/AI platforms such as Anthropic for Gov, OpenAI Enterprise, Gemini Enterprise, or Grok Enterprise.
  • Knowledge of metadata catalog platforms (MCP) and advanced API development.
  • Prior exposure to government or other highly regulated cloud environments and related compliance standards.
