About the role
Role Overview
Join a highly entrepreneurial engineering team as a Machine Learning Engineer. You’ll be the ML subject matter expert, owning models end-to-end from concept through deployment, and helping drive production ML systems that optimize player experiences and inform business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy production machine learning models
- Create predictive models for player behavior, engagement, and game performance
- Own the full ML lifecycle: feature engineering, training, tuning, deployment, and retraining
- Build scalable ML pipelines using Python and AWS
- Partner with engineers to improve existing ML infrastructure
- Research and evaluate new modeling approaches to improve prediction accuracy
- Help define and evolve the long-term ML strategy
Requirements
- 3+ years building and deploying production ML models
- Strong Python experience
- Experience with supervised learning models
- Hands-on experience with XGBoost and/or LightGBM
- Strong SQL and statistical analysis skills
- Experience deploying ML workloads in AWS
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized development
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment
Nice to Have
- Gaming or consumer analytics experience
- ClickHouse or other OLAP databases
- TypeScript
- Optuna or other hyperparameter optimization frameworks
- Experience with large-scale behavioral or product datasets
