About the role
Role overview
Syrve is seeking a Linux Administrator for the DevOps team to manage and maintain the company’s Linux infrastructure. You will handle system administration, hardware configuration, virtualization, and monitoring to ensure high availability and security.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support Linux (Debian-based) infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and configure hardware, including RAID controllers and server setup
- Operate and troubleshoot virtualization with Proxmox and QEMU-KVM
- Maintain and develop monitoring using Zabbix
- Resolve issues across OS and virtualization operations
- Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) maintenance and development
- Coordinate with the hosting provider
- Improve system operations in collaboration with IT and DevOps teams
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience
- Strong Linux administration skills (Debian-based)
- Experience with hardware configuration/troubleshooting (RAID controllers, server configuration)
- Working knowledge of virtualization (Proxmox, QEMU-KVM)
- Monitoring experience with Zabbix (usage, maintenance, development)
- Knowledge of Ansible and Bash
- Understanding of the network stack
Competitive advantages (nice to have)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Experience with Prometheus and Grafana
- Understanding of network load balancing principles and clustered systems
- Experience managing a large fleet of servers
