Legal Counsel

Role Overview

As Legal Counsel at Extend, you’ll support day-to-day legal work at a fast-paced tech company and be a key contributor to the legal team. You’ll handle a broad mix of matters, advising cross-functionally with teams across the business and partnering with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for corporate and commercial transactions
• Independently draft and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts and complex matters
• Advise cross-functionally across Revenue, Marketing, People/HR, Programs, Finance, Engineering, and Products
• Build and scale the legal function
• Support public company readiness
• Assist with board and committee meeting preparation
• Oversee global corporate administration, including:
  • Compliance with international, federal, and state laws
  • Maintaining foreign and domestic entities
  • Executive compensation and stock administration

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admitted to and in good standing with a state bar
• 3–5 years at a top law firm (preference for some in-house experience)
• Strong ability to multitask, problem solve, prioritize, and exercise judgment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
• Excitement working on cross-functional and novel/unfamiliar projects

Compensation & Benefits

• Expected pay range: $175,000–$200,000 base salary (annual)
