About the role
Role Overview
Learning Instructional Design Lead will lead enterprise learning design for a large healthcare organization. The role combines strategy and hands-on instructional design to create scalable, engaging, and data-informed learning experiences that support workforce capability, operational excellence, and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full learning design lifecycle (analysis through evaluation), ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and workforce needs.
- Design, develop, and continuously enhance enterprise learning programs using instructional design models and modern digital learning practices.
- Build end-to-end learning solutions using approaches such as ADDIE, SAM, and Agile.
- Collaborate with education leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
- Develop diverse learning assets, including courses, videos, simulations, guides, assessments, and interactive activities.
- Recommend and integrate innovative learning technologies and instructional approaches to improve engagement and effectiveness.
- Evaluate learning impact using data, metrics, and feedback; identify optimization opportunities.
- Support LMS integration and serve as a key resource for training design standards and implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, HR, Organizational Development, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in eLearning and instructional design using adult learning theory.
- Experience leading learning projects in matrixed/enterprise environments.
- Proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia, Vyond, Adobe Suite, or similar.
- Strong understanding of instructional design models, blended learning, and learning evaluation methods.
- Experience in healthcare or similarly regulated environments.
- Ability to lead projects with multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into effective, measurable learning solutions.
- Familiarity with LMS systems and enterprise learning content curation.
