Role overview

Lead WordPress Web Developer to own the health of 100+ client websites for a fast-moving marketing agency. This is an ownership and maintenance/operations role—not build-from-scratch—covering security, uptime, delivery of leads, and technical quality before launches.

Responsibilities

Own site security, uptime, and WordPress maintenance across 100+ client websites
Ensure contact form deliverability (SMTP/lead routing so client leads get through)
Provide urgent issue response during US business hours
Perform technical QA before any new site goes live
Define and enforce WordPress architecture standards across the client portfolio

Requirements

4–7 years of professional WordPress experience
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript
Experience managing hosting, DNS, SMTP, and server configuration
Ability to thrive in an agency environment with shifting priorities
Strong proactive mindset for catching issues early

Compensation & work model

Total Year 1 compensation: $76,500–$86,000+
100% remote
