Lead UX Researcher & Strategist
Drive high-impact UX research that shapes product direction, informs roadmaps, and influences business decisions across multiple teams.
Responsibilities
Research leadership & ownership
- Lead end-to-end UX research for initiatives spanning multiple product teams and complex problem spaces.
- Determine when generative and foundational research is needed to guide strategy, experience direction, and roadmap decisions.
- Scope, design, and execute research plans aligned to business goals with minimal oversight.
- Anticipate research needs and encourage discovery-led approaches.
Insight synthesis & influence
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs into actionable insights.
- Translate findings into implications that resonate with product, design, and senior leadership audiences.
- Create executive-ready deliverables connecting customer insight to business priorities and investment decisions.
- Influence prioritization, tradeoffs, and roadmap direction by articulating business impact of customer needs and experience gaps.
- Champion and help operationalize insights across the organization.
- Connect insights across studies to identify patterns for portfolio-level strategy and long-term direction.
Practice leadership & mentorship
- Set a high bar for research quality, rigor, and strategic impact.
- Mentor and coach researchers to improve research maturity and confidence in influence.
- Evolve UX research standards, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Strengthen scaled research operations (repositories, frameworks, insight governance).
Collaboration & cross-functional partnership
- Partner with UX Design, Product Management, Digital Merchandising, Analytics, Customer Insights, and Digital Testing.
- Align research with analytics, experimentation, and secondary data to create a unified view of customer behavior.
- Provide continuity from discovery through delivery.
