Lead Technical Product Manager (Agentic AI)

Role overview

Lead the technical product strategy and delivery for Agentic AI initiatives. You will translate AI strategy into a well-structured backlog, aligning product, engineering, and UX so teams deliver customer value through incremental releases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead an integrated execution plan across multiple modules and agentic workflow components.
• Convert epics into INVEST-compliant features and user stories with:
  • Clear acceptance criteria
  • Definition of Ready/Done
  • Dependency tracking and release planning
• Ensure voice of customer and market data flows into sprint planning.
• Run build-measure-learn loops focused on validated outcomes, not output volume.
• Design and execute fast validation experiments, especially around user trust in autonomous workflows.

Requirements

• Strong INVEST principles and story mapping experience.
• Agile/Scrum experience (minimum 4+ years) as a Product Owner or Lead PM working closely with engineering.
• 5–7+ years in software product management / product ownership in B2B SaaS.
• Technical understanding of:
  • Agentic AI systems (LLM-based planning, tool/function calling, multi-step orchestration, state management, human-in-the-loop)
  • API integrations, tool/function specifications, and microservices
  • Azure OpenAI Service, agent frameworks, prompt patterns, evaluation approaches, and safe response behavior
  • AI evaluation metrics (e.g., task success, intervention rate, decision accuracy), testing strategies, and MLOps
• Expert backlog hygiene in Azure DevOps Boards (epics → features → stories; DoR/DoD; dependencies).
• Lean product development and build-measure-learn methods.
• Evidence-driven, customer-obsessed mindset; comfort iterating and pivoting in ambiguity.
• Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Certifications preferred:
  • CSPO/PSPO or SAFe POPM
  • Azure AI-900 or AI-102

Nice to have

• 2+ years working with AI/ML products, including shipping Generative AI or agentic features in production.
• Domain experience in tax, accounting, or professional services software.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot / Copilot Studio and the M365 ecosystem.
• Agent framework experience: LangGraph, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, or similar.
• Startup/innovation lab experience.
• Knowledge of enterprise data privacy, security, responsible AI, auditability, and §7216 compliance.
• Familiarity with document intelligence technologies.
• Experience managing distributed/remote teams.
