Lead Solutions Architect

Role overview

Lead Solutions Architect responsible for designing, architecting, and supporting enterprise systems, services, and applications that enable an agile digital enterprise. Provides technical leadership across digital experience, correspondence, connectivity/exchange services, and shared data platforms, including web and data strategy definition.

Responsibilities

• Define, document, and deliver current-state, target-state, and initiative-based architectures to drive modernization.
• Collaborate with architects, software engineers, and business product owners in an agile environment.
• Advocate and help mature firmwide frameworks, tools, and software development lifecycle practices.
• Recommend and integrate data tools, frameworks, and applications to expand platform capabilities.
• Recommend and implement best practices for enterprise data management:
  • Master data, reference data, metadata
  • data quality and data lineage
• Design scalable, reusable data-driven solutions and data pipeline frameworks for both:
  • batch and real-time streaming ingestion, processing, and delivery
  • structured and unstructured data
• Keep pace with new technologies; rapidly learn and contribute to project deliverables.
• Lead and mentor technical components for strategic projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, MIS, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in applying architecture and enterprise roadmapping across areas including analytics, cloud, IT strategies, innovation, SAFe, TOGAF, and data integration.
• Strong capability to define, recommend, promote, and enforce program/project solutions.
• Proficiency with SQL for data profiling, analysis, and extraction.
• 3+ years experience in each of the following areas:
  1. Architecting/building/administering complex architectures and real-time streaming analytics in on-prem and cloud
  2. Architecting/building/administering large-scale distributed applications
  3. Linux operations and development (CLI, commands, shell scripting with Bash and PowerShell)
  4. Architecting scalable containerized applications using container orchestration
  5. Executing DevOps methodologies and CI/CD
• Strong attention to detail, results orientation, customer focus.
• Analytical/problem-solving, technical communication, and prioritization for tight deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
• Software development experience with relevant languages such as Spark, Java, Python, Scala, Node.js, SQL.
• Knowledge of OpenAPI Specification, REST, API design, and security/implementation.
• Experience with digital experience technologies such as Drupal CMS in complex enterprise/multisite environments (e.g., Acquia Cloud Next).
• Experience with data lake and data warehousing architecture/implementation (e.g., MPP, data streams, source-to-target mapping).
