Role overview
Snapsheet is hiring a Lead Software Engineer to drive the technical direction and engineering excellence of its virtual claims claims engine. You’ll contribute to architecture decisions, lead by example through thorough code reviews, and deliver production-ready code while mentoring others.
Responsibilities
- Drive technical direction and engineering excellence for the claims engine
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical design
- Perform in-depth code reviews and ensure high-quality, production-ready delivery
- Deliver high-quality features and improvements across the stack
- Mentor other engineers and support team growth
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack web development experience
- At least 2 years working with relational databases
- Exposure to front-end technologies and ability to contribute across the stack
- Demonstrated ability to address scalability challenges
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Clear understanding of the product and business context behind technical work
- Curiosity and proactivity in understanding systems and tools beyond frameworks
- Strong technical communication skills
- BS in a relevant STEM field (Computer Science/Math/Software Engineering/etc.)
