About the role

Role overview

Lead Software Engineer (Mobile Solutions Engineering & Operations) leveraging Flutter to design and build large cross-platform mobile applications for theme parks and venues worldwide. You’ll act as a mobile domain expert, collaborating with mobile, product, architecture, and DevOps teams to deliver complex solutions.

Responsibilities

Design & Development

  • Architect and oversee implementation of mobile solutions where applicable
  • Develop and support complex codebases, including testing and configuration management for new Flutter applications
  • Research, design, document, and update Flutter specifications throughout the app lifecycle
  • Provide guidance and review for new/existing solutions for compliance, industry standards, and mobile best practices
  • Coordinate with internal/external technical resources; collaborate with Project Managers, vendors, and IT stakeholders on estimates and implementation plans

Strategy & Planning

  • Own the mobile domain strategy and help design long-term goals for mobile technologies and capabilities
  • Provide technical direction to delivery teams, DevOps, and architects
  • Research emerging technologies and recommend options to improve cost effectiveness and flexibility
  • Lead creation and documentation of formalized mobile development methodologies
  • Build and maintain repositories for deliverables

Technical Collaboration

  • Partner with product teams and management to refine requirements and resolve technical issues
  • Engage with developers, architects, and domain experts

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience with requirements gathering/analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate customer business needs into practical applications and operational solutions
  • Solid software development background; hands-on coding experience
  • Strong system design and development experience
  • Expert-level mobile knowledge and design patterns, including Flutter and Dart
  • Knowledge of mobile design patterns such as MVC and MVVM
  • Deep Flutter ecosystem knowledge including:
    • BLoC
    • Flutter plugin ecosystem
    • Custom widget/UI architecture concepts (e.g., CMS-driven widget design, Atomic Design, widget trees)
  • Proficient with Git, Git flow, and branching strategies
  • Proficiency with multi-threading
  • Ability to mentor other engineers

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with data privacy practices and applicable laws
  • Experience with APIs/SDKs and mobile evaluation principles/practices
