Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack (Python/AWS)/Remote

Role Overview

Lead a full-stack engineering effort to design, develop, and deliver scalable web applications and enterprise platforms. You’ll provide technical leadership, influence architecture decisions, and partner across product, design, QA, and DevOps teams to ship high-quality software.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable full-stack applications using Python and modern frontend technologies.
• Lead engineering architecture efforts, including technical decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Develop RESTful APIs, backend services, and microservices.
• Build responsive, user-friendly frontend interfaces.
• Implement cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Improve performance, scalability, and security of applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and DevOps.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability.

Requirements

• Strong Python skills with backend frameworks such as Django or FastAPI.
• Frontend experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science/Engineering (or related).
• Experience leading engineering teams or large-scale projects.
• Exposure to serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Cloud certifications (plus).
