About the role
Role Overview
Lead the architecture and development of scalable, high-performance web applications for Binance.US. This Lead Frontend (Web) role partners across Product, Design, Backend, and DevOps to deliver performant, accessible features and own deployment and quality practices end-to-end.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced front-end features using Next.js, React, and TypeScript
- Deliver end-to-end web feature development: testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance
- Build modular, reusable UI components for scalable front-end development
- Optimize performance using techniques such as SSR/SSG, lazy loading, and responsive design
- Define and monitor front-end performance KPIs (e.g., page load time, TTI, Core Web Vitals)
- Instrument analytics and logging for usage tracking and performance insights
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define specifications and API requirements
- Mentor junior engineers; drive engineering excellence through code reviews and technical leadership
- Partner with DevOps on CI/CD, safe deployments, and rollback strategies
- Maintain high standards for code quality, accessibility, security, and test coverage (unit, integration, E2E)
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development with a focus on front-end web applications
- Deep expertise in Next.js, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Strong performance optimization experience using tools such as Lighthouse, WebPageTest, and Chrome DevTools
- Solid understanding of SSR/SSG, CDN strategies, caching, and PWA concepts
- Familiarity with front-end security best practices
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD automated deployment workflows
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills (Product, Design, Backend, DevOps)
Preferred / Bonus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
- Bonus: analytics instrumentation and blockchain-integrated front-ends (e.g., ethers.js, wallet libraries)
Compensation
- Starting base pay range: USD $200,000–$220,000 per year for all U.S. remote locations (base pay varies by factors; range subject to change).
