About the role

Role Overview

Lead Software Engineer (Front End) for AXS’ FanSight platform, owning front-end architecture and user experience strategy. You’ll balance hands-on coding with planning and team leadership, delivering consumer-facing and B2B applications that scale for high traffic.

Responsibilities

Design and build new features and enhancements for global ticketing platforms
Lead architecture and evolution of the FanSight front-end platform (scalable, maintainable, high-performing)
Partner with Product and Design to deliver intuitive, accessible, responsive customer-facing web applications
Establish front-end engineering standards and best practices (component architecture, performance, accessibility, testing, maintainability)
Optimize UX and performance for major traffic spikes
Build scalable modules for internal tools and external partners
Create/implement APIs and front-end features supporting mission-critical products
Own systems and products end-to-end for the FanSight platform
Define the annual technology roadmap and capacity plan; make key technical decisions
Set and enforce coding standards, code review standards, and engineering best practices across the squad
Provide technical leadership and mentorship
Lead sprint pre-planning, task assignments, feasibility assessments, and feedback sessions
Identify and mitigate technical risks; improve performance, stability, and maintainability
Partner with security stakeholders on security audits and remediation
Collaborate with engineering, architects, business analysts, and product/project management to deliver solutions

Requirements

Experience leading front-end architecture and engineering standards for customer-facing web platforms
Strong ability to design and build scalable front-end systems for high-demand applications
Hands-on experience with building, reviewing, and maintaining production web features
Experience working cross-functionally with Product/Design and other engineering stakeholders

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with accessibility and performance optimization at scale
Experience integrating with third parties for seamless customer experiences
Security-focused collaboration experience (audits/remediation)
