About the role

Role Overview

Lead Software Engineer specializing in React and full-stack development for the FX Engineering team. You will lead the design, development, and delivery of high-performance, scalable foreign exchange trading platforms and services, working as a hands-on technical leader across global engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Lead technical design and development of cloud-native FX trading applications
Partner with architects, product managers, and global engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions
Mentor and guide engineering teams; foster technical excellence, collaboration, and inclusion
Drive engineering standards: code quality, testing strategy, and CI/CD; promote automation and continuous improvement
Own system reliability practices: monitoring, incident management, and resilience
Identify opportunities for performance optimization, cost efficiency, security enhancements, and developer experience
Ensure high system availability, observability, and operational excellence

Requirements

Proven leadership experience in software engineering; ability to own technical direction and delivery
Hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks (with React preferred)
Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud architectures (Azure or AWS)
Scalable application design experience
Familiarity with modern engineering practices: Agile, CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps principles
Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills

Nice to Have

Full-stack experience, especially in financial markets or trading systems
