Lead Product owner - Healthcare

Role Overview

Lead Product Owner for Healthcare product portfolio & program management. Acts as an authority over Product Owners and product teams to ensure clear strategic direction and effective delivery of products that meet internal and external customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead product portfolio development and deliver workable solutions with stakeholders, Product Owners, and Scrum teams.
• Plan product releases by reviewing milestones with stakeholders; manage ongoing development of existing products.
• Validate proposed solutions using market research; support pricing packages and structures.
• Communicate and maintain product roadmaps for internal and external audiences.
• Manage product backlogs using roadmap and backlog management practices/tools.
• Partner with testing managers to ensure functionality is tested against business requirements; lead change control to reflect priorities.
• Participate in delivery ceremonies (product refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews).
• Coordinate workshops with product users using discover & define; validate hypotheses and implement best solutions.
• Support initiatives that increase customer satisfaction; run product training for partners and staff.

Requirements

• Healthcare domain experience (15+ years mentioned; also explicitly requests 8 years experience with business/solutions/system analysis/design/development, or 6 years as a Product Owner with deep agile knowledge).
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification — required.
• Bachelor’s degree (Product Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or related) or, in lieu, additional 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous healthcare experience.
• Advanced degree.
