Role Overview

Lead Product Manager – Risk Platform (BILL’s Risk Product team)

Own and evolve BILL’s risk management product capabilities—including credit, fraud, and compliance—by defining the product vision, roadmap, and architecture that power automated, real-time risk decisioning.

Responsibilities

• Own product vision, strategy, and roadmap for BILL’s core risk decisioning and policy engine.
• Define technical architecture for internal APIs, platform services, and data pipelines powering risk evaluations (fraud, credit, compliance).
• Lead cross-functional teams to design and launch features that proactively address emerging risks and changing requirements.
• Act as a translation layer between risk policy goals and engineering execution; collaborate directly with data scientists, security engineers, and data architects.
• Analyze market/regulatory/internal data to identify patterns, opportunities, and vulnerabilities and turn insights into product improvements.
• Partner with stakeholders across engineering, risk business owners, operations, customer experience, legal, and external partners.
• Develop and manage product roadmaps aligned to business goals and stakeholder needs.
• Monitor product performance using metrics; iterate based on user feedback and operational results.
• Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing to elevate risk and compliance practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience, specifically leading complex fraud, credit, and compliance initiatives in payments or financial services.
• 6+ years experience launching risk controls across the customer lifecycle (e.g., onboarding, monitoring, identity, and profile management) supporting credit, fraud, and compliance outcomes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to use data and make sound judgments in ambiguous situations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
