About the role
Role Overview
Attentive is hiring a Lead Product Manager (Product Recommendations) to own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and execution for Product Recommendations—key to delivering personalized, high-performing messaging for ecommerce brands.
Responsibilities
- Own strategy and execution for how Attentive ingests, normalizes, and structures customer product catalog data to power recommendations and segmentation.
- Partner with Data Science to define the roadmap for algorithmic recommendation strategies in messages and across channels.
- Define targeting strategies using customer affinity to products and categories for more personalized messaging.
- Own UI/UX features that help customers understand, configure, and test recommendations.
- Craft and drive a multi-year strategy for recommendations.
- Translate ambiguous customer needs and competitive signals into clear, prioritized roadmaps.
- Partner with Data Science, Engineering, Design, and GTM to deliver high-impact features.
- Develop objective frameworks to measure model performance, customer adoption, and trust.
- Operate with high autonomy, making crisp decisions and tradeoffs.
- Serve as an internal evangelist for Product Recommendations, enabling CS, Sales, and Marketing to position the capability.
- Support experiments, betas, and staged rollouts with measurement rigor and quality.
- Explain effectiveness and appropriate usage of recommendations for customers.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of Product Management experience, ideally with product recommendations.
- Experience shipping algorithm-driven and/or personalization products at scale.
- Strong product sense and ability to simplify complexity into actionable roadmaps.
- Fluency partnering with Data Science (setting goals, reviewing model outputs, and translating performance into product decisions).
- Proven track record driving adoption, crafting narratives, and enabling GTM success.
- Excellent written and verbal communication (executive-ready).
Nice to Have
- Deep understanding of the ecommerce ecosystem, including product feeds, personalization engines, and customer lifecycle marketing.
