Lead Product Manager (Enterprise AI & Automation)

Role overview

Join Marqeta as a Lead Product Manager for Enterprise AI & Automation. You will define and execute the enterprise AI vision, prioritize high-value AI/automation use cases, and lead delivery to measurable business outcomes. This is a hands-on product leadership role requiring strong AI fluency and IT product management experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define Marqeta’s Enterprise AI & Automation strategy, including:
  • Responsible AI principles
  • Governance frameworks
  • Multi-quarter adoption roadmap
• Lead the Plan and Commit process with business stakeholders for AI and automation technology requests, prioritizing based on:
  • Strategic alignment
  • Risk reduction
  • ROI
  • Operational impact
• Oversee QA and UAT processes to ensure systems meet business requirements prior to deployment.
• Coordinate deployment windows to minimize disruption and manage risks.
• Work with business unit leaders, the AI Steering Committee, and BT engineering to drive successful adoption.

Requirements

• Change management experience: drive adoption beyond deployment.
• Ability to operate hands-on with AI tooling (evaluate platforms, configure an agent, troubleshoot issues).
• Experience building internal-facing enterprise AI systems/platforms with a focus on adoption curves and systems thinking.
• Ability to influence without authority across business units and functions (e.g., finance, legal, security).
• Strong prioritization and decision-making in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments.
• Demonstrated product management experience managing backlogs, defects, and enhancement roadmaps for enterprise applications/internal platforms.
• 7+ years in IT product management, including 2+ years focused on AI or emerging technology products.

Nice to have

• Fintech or regulated industry experience.
• Strong understanding of AI capabilities and how to translate them into strategy and concrete use cases (summarization, classification, generation, agentic workflows).
• Experience with no-code/low-code AI platforms (e.g., Workato or similar).
