Lead Product Designer (Growth)
Join Step as a Lead Product Designer (Growth) to shape and drive product, design, and UX strategy for growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the product, design, and UX strategy for growth initiatives, including signup/onboarding, rewards, and gamification.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define strategy and roadmap.
- Own projects end-to-end across the design process (hybrid UX + UI).
- Evaluate current processes, identify best practices, develop plans to reach goals, and improve design practices.
Requirements
- Ability to think at a product strategy and vision level (what to build, not only how it looks).
- Demonstrated experience with end-to-end UX and UI design for consumer-facing products.
- Experience shipping mobile/web applications or software.
- Craft-obsessed approach with strong attention to detail.
- Experience leading design for successful growth initiatives at scale.
- Strong fintech experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; can clearly articulate design decisions and rationale.
- Portfolio showcasing relevant design work.
- Ability to lead projects, delegate, and direct other designers.
Nice-to-haves
- Uses AI as a creative/productivity multiplier to move faster while maintaining craft.
- Strong visual design range between systemized UI and brand-forward moments.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
