Lead Product Designer

Role Overview

Circle is seeking a Lead Product Designer for its Identity Team. This is a horizontal platform role—designing foundational “front door” systems that other product teams depend on across Circle’s ecosystem.

What You’ll Work On

• Transform chaos into order by auditing fragmented workflows and unifying them into a cohesive platform experience
• Unified Identity: design user experiences for Roles & Permissions and Team Management for both admins and end users
• Centralized Billing Infrastructure: design a scalable billing/subscription experience across the Circle ecosystem
• Security meets UX for high-stakes flows such as:
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
  • SSO setup
  • Account recovery

What You’ll Bring

• Platform & systems experience (platform teams, internal tools, or design systems)
• Ability to design a framework rather than just a feature
• Exceptional UI & visual design craft (typography, color, layout, hierarchy; focus on “fit and finish”)
• Complexity wrangling: turn messy requirements (e.g., permissions, enterprise billing) into clean, logical interfaces
• Component-based thinking with Figma, using auto-layout, variables, and variants for reusable components
• Strategic communication: clearly articulate design rationale, present to leadership, and collaborate with engineering to maintain design quality
• User empathy for both external customers and internal developers/designers who will use the tools
