About the role

Role Overview

Circle is seeking a Lead Product Designer to join the Arc pillar. The role shapes how developers and businesses interact with blockchain-native products and primitives (networks, transactions, permissions, and programmable value), working across products and teams to create usable and reliable experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Blockchain-native experiences: Design workflows and interfaces that make transactions, permissions, programmability, and settlement understandable and intentional.
  • Economic clarity: Help users reason about value flow, costs, and tradeoffs (e.g., fees, execution, finality).
  • Cross-team alignment: Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to set priorities and make tradeoffs across protocols, platform surfaces, and downstream products.
  • Systems and patterns: Identify repeatable models and abstractions that scale across blockchain use cases and products.
  • Design leadership: Set direction for complex problems, mentor other designers, and raise the bar for blockchain product design organization-wide.

Requirements / What They’re Looking For

  • Ability to treat blockchains as more than technology—focus on incentives, ownership, and value flow.
  • Comfort reasoning about how design choices influence trust, behavior, and participation in crypto ecosystems.
  • Strong craft and usability bar for product design in blockchain contexts.
