Lead Full Stack Engineer, Manager

Location: Hybrid (Nashville office)

Role Overview

Lead and manage a team of 3–5 full stack developers while developing and maintaining modern web applications. You’ll collaborate across functions to deliver new features, while also mentoring engineers and ensuring high code quality, performance, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using modern technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Lead an agile team (3–5 developers)
• Write clean, maintainable, efficient code
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness
• Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs
• Mentor and guide full stack developers on business and technical concepts
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies

Requirements

• 6+ years experience as a Full Stack Web Developer (or similar)
• Strong front-end skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React/Angular/Vue.js
• Strong back-end skills: Node.js, Express, Django, Ruby on Rails, or similar
• Experience with databases: MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar
• Experience building large single-page applications with complex state management
• Experience with UI frameworks such as Bootstrap, Material, Tailwind, or similar
• Experience writing unit/integration tests with Jest, Chai, Cypress, or similar
• Experience leading/managing direct reports
• Code review experience with focus on security, quality, maintainability, and knowledge sharing
• Familiarity with Git
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience)

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud services: AWS, Azure, or GCP
