About the role
Role Overview
Lead the development of scalable full-stack FinTech applications as a Senior Full Stack Developer (Node.js / TypeScript). You will drive backend architecture, modernize legacy systems, and support mission-critical platforms running 24/7, while leading distributed onshore and offshore teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Node.js, React, and TypeScript
- Lead backend efforts including API design, microservices, and system integrations
- Architect and implement microservices to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance
- Modernize legacy systems into maintainable, scalable architectures
- Operate and manage high-availability FinTech platforms for 24/7 environments
- Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and system reliability
- Provide L3 production support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution
- Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders
- Lead and mentor onshore and offshore development teams
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and FinTech standards
Requirements (Must-Have)
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- 6+ years full-stack development experience
- Backend expertise including:
- API development (REST / GraphQL)
- Microservices architecture
- Distributed systems design
- Full-stack frontend experience with React and modern frontend practices
- Proven experience delivering large-scale FinTech products
- Experience supporting and enhancing products in production (modernization initiatives)
- Knowledge of financial systems/transactions/payment platforms (preferred)
- Experience in incident management, SLA adherence, and support processes
- Ability to lead distributed teams (onshore & offshore) across time zones
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with senior business stakeholders
Nice-to-Haves
- Deeper domain experience with financial systems, transactions, or payment platforms (explicitly preferred)
