About the role
Role Overview
Lead Frontend Engineer (US Remote) You will join the Application Engineering & Platforms group to guide technical strategy, mentor developers, and architect enterprise-grade web applications using Angular and React with a strong focus on UX/UI.
Responsibilities
- Technical leadership & architecture
- Lead technical design/implementation of major features across multiple frontend platforms.
- Partner with UX/UI designers to deliver pixel-perfect, accessible interfaces and provide feasibility/UX feedback.
- Drive architectural decisions across Angular and React ecosystems; champion adoption of new technologies.
- Mentorship & engineering quality
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers.
- Improve engineering practices via code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
- Hands-on frontend development
- Build scalable, maintainable applications with modern Angular and React.
- Implement state management solutions such as NgRx, Redux, or MobX.
- Build and maintain micro-frontend architectures (may involve multiple frameworks).
- API integration & collaboration
- Collaborate with backend teams to design, consume, and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Testing & reliability
- Write comprehensive unit, integration, and E2E tests.
- Maintain >80% code coverage.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional front-end development experience building complex, large-scale applications.
- Proven experience in a technical leadership/mentorship role.
- Expert proficiency in Angular and React (principles, performance, and ecosystems).
- Strong TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Strong UX/UI acumen, including translating designs (e.g., Figma/Sketch) into accessible, functional code.
- Experience designing and consuming complex REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with modern testing and DevOps practices: CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Nice to Have
- Data visualization libraries such as AG Grid or D3.js.
- Background in financial services or other regulated industries.
- Experience with additional frontend frameworks.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; if substituting for a degree, must include specialized training/progressively responsible experience as described in the posting.
