Lead Frontend Engineer

Role Overview

Lead the development of enterprise-scale web applications in a high-impact engineering environment. You’ll shape frontend architecture, drive technical decisions, and deliver exceptional user experiences across modern platforms using Angular, React, and TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design, architecture, and implementation of major frontend features across multiple platforms.
• Drive frontend strategy and architectural decisions across Angular and React ecosystems.
• Partner with UX/UI designers to build accessible, responsive, pixel-perfect interfaces.
• Mentor frontend engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
• Architect and build scalable applications using modern Angular/React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Implement state management using NgRx, Redux, or MobX.
• Design and build Micro-Frontend architectures supporting complex, multi-framework applications.
• Collaborate with backend teams on integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Establish testing practices (unit, integration, end-to-end) and support strong code coverage.
• Improve engineering processes, development workflows, and application performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science/Engineering/IT or related field.
• 10+ years of professional frontend development experience on complex, large-scale applications.
• Proven technical leadership and architecture ownership; mentoring/guiding engineering teams experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of both Angular and React (ecosystems, performance, best practices).
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Advanced UX/UI understanding; ability to translate designs from tools like Figma or Sketch into accessible applications.
• Extensive experience with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs (designing, integrating, and consuming).
• Strong frontend testing knowledge and quality practices.
• Experience with modern DevOps practices: CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with data visualization libraries such as AG Grid or D3.js.
• Background in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries.
