Role Overview

Lead Engineer - Mobile & Full-Stack (Remote)

Own the architecture, quality, and delivery of a React Native mobile application and React web surfaces, and mentor a distributed engineering team across time zones.

Responsibilities

Architecture & Delivery: Own mobile and web architecture and delivery quality for iOS/Android and React JS web surfaces.
Engineering Standards: Define and enforce coding standards, patterns, and best practices across mobile and full-stack development.
AI-First Mindset: Drive adoption of an AI-first engineering mindset.
Roadmap & Alignment: Make technical roadmap decisions and align them with product goals, timelines, and the broader engineering organization.
End-to-End Technical Expertise: Provide expertise across native UI, BFF architecture, backend API contracts, testing, and LLM integration patterns.
Production Quality: Lead deep code reviews; perform root-cause analysis for critical production issues.
Delivery & Execution: Deliver features end-to-end from scoping through App Store / Play Store release and production monitoring.
Risk & CI/CD: Break down requirements into actionable tasks/milestones; mitigate technical risk; maintain/improve CI/CD and release management.
Mobile/Web Integration: Manage the webview bridge between the native app and D2C web experience for the lease application flow.
Non-Functional Requirements: Build with performance, security, and accessibility in mind from the start.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a geographically distributed team across hubs (Americas and India); foster engineering culture and accountability.
Collaboration & Agile: Work with Product, Design, QA, and Backend teams to deliver business solutions following Agile principles.

Requirements

Strong technical leadership with depth delivering solutions to complex, large-scale business problems.
Experience building in a React Native codebase.
Ability to design BFF architecture and work with backend API contracts.
Mentoring experience across time zones.
Experience delivering customized customer experiences across mobile app, webview, and website.

Nice-to-Haves

Familiarity with LLM integration patterns and an AI-first engineering approach.
Experience with open-source contribution or participation in industry groups.
