About the role
Role Overview
Endless Studios is seeking a Lead Engineer to own the technical direction and day-to-day engineering operations of its web platform. This is a hands-on leadership role combining full-stack technical ownership with team and delivery management.
Responsibilities
Technical leadership
- Drive architecture decisions and participate actively in engineering across a full-stack codebase
- Set and enforce code standards; ensure high-quality output
- Lead engineering practices such as code review, QA, monitoring, and smart use of AI tools to keep the team moving fast
People & delivery leadership
- Run the team’s Agile processes: standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and issue triage
- Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering and the rest of the organization
- Collaborate with Product on roadmap priorities and validate work-in-progress against product intentions
- Translate product requirements into actionable engineering work
Requirements
- 8+ years software development experience
- 2+ years engineering team management experience
- 1+ years experience using AI technologies in a professional context
- Strong web development expertise across JavaScript/TypeScript, able to work across frontend, backend, and databases
- Ability to solve complex engineering problems and drive fast, high-quality delivery
- Strong communication and organization; ensure requests/questions are addressed and key information is documented
- Experience working with distributed teams across different cultures
Preferred
- Experience improving team practices/processes in a fast-paced environment
- Technical mentorship experience
- Experience building teams that scaled or transitioned to other organizations
